Will GT5 have what it takes to compete with Mario Kart?

Quantity is quality all to itself 10 9.62%
 
I don't believe casual games like GT5 count 29 27.88%
 
Whats GT5? I only know Mario Kart 18 17.31%
 
The blue shell says yes 10 9.62%
 
But what about Forza 3? 15 14.42%

Actually yah, I do think mario kart 64 is the best of the mario cart franchise. But I think the burnout/need for speed series are the best racing series.

But anyways Mkwii and GT5 were both surpassed by a game called big rigs that came out on the pc........the amount of innovations, the surprises at every corner.....GT5 and MK are outclassed in every catagory by this game.

Mario Kart racing franchise is on a level of its own and the sales prove it. I wouldn't compare it to Gran Turismo to Mario Kart. Gran Turismo 5 will definitely have some strong first week sales and strong lifetime sales.Mario Kart Wii, however, is the game with stronger legs. Don't get me wrong, GT5 will sell well during the first couple of weeks but the sales' legs won't be as strong as Mario Kart Wii's sales. So my answer is no GT5 will not have what it takes to compete with Mario Kart. Judging by the preorder sales and all the delays, this might be the lowest selling game in the franchise.
