"Someone (it may have been me, I don't remember) gathered a bunch of Nintendo-related images from wherever we could find them (such as the web) since we didn't have access to Nintendo's press site at that point, and I think we took the "Wii 2" one without noticing it had been altered. There's no way they'll call it "Wii 2". Nintendo is more creative than that.

The last (and only) time Nintendo tacked "Super" onto the name of a console successor was 1990. Haven't done it again in 20 years. Why? Because it's boring.

The Gameboy Advance was an upgrade of a pre-existing platform (Gameboy); it wasn't a completely new platform, so it didn't warrant a completely new name.

The "Wii" name will be dropped. For good. Mark my words.

Let's assume for a second there is indeed a Wii 2 which is about to be announced - would it have he exact same controller as the Wii? I seriously doubt it.

Interestingly or not, the remote(well more the hand holding the remote) is identical to

I Scoured the web for a bit trying to find a photoshopped "2" on the Wiimote, but came up short. Wouldn't surprise me if Nintendo Power did it purposely to add some spice to all of the Wii HD rumors.
