Nintendo does what the majority wants them to do

Sony does whatever we don't want them to do

MS does what Sony should have done.

I actually think your breakdown is more accurate!

Oh you, mine is just a simple version of yours.

How dare you.

Nintendo= Understands

Sony= Oblivious

MS= Trying

I won this.

W-Winner L-Loser T N-Nuetral

Sony-L

Microsoft-N

Nintendo-W

Really.

N=1

MS= 2

S= 3

N-1

M-2

S-3

1

2

3

This was hilarious.

Hmm thats a mystery indeed....

Maybe because Sony got a lot of First party franchise to fund while MS has money to burn for timed exclusives.

Money is the obvious answer. Also, pretty early on Sony said their focus was their exclusive content vs third party. I'm not saying they're getting that right, but I got the impression that they were looking to more of a Nintendo model where they look after their own IP and let third parties decide what to support.

I think mostly it's just an acceptance (no doubt a reluctant one) that sales of PS3 coupled with MS funds doesn't put them in a good position to fight. If 360 had a much smaller install base they'd no doubt be pushing the developers hard to favour PS3, but that isn't an option currently and to be honest they'd just be wasting money in the current environment trying to outbid MS.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

WAIT

there will not be PS3 FFXIII bundle ?

The three games you mentioned have never been Playstation exclusives throughout their entire life. In fact all three had their start on a Microsoft system.

The Metal Gear series started on the MSX and MSX2
GTA had its start on PC Windows.
Final Fantasy was remade for the MSX2 system in 1989.

stop doing damage control, we know video game too

MG serie didnt appear on PSX but he raised to mainstream level with MGS1 that was on PSX exclusvily. I do not need to mention the hype level on internet for the MGS2 release ... Talking about affiliation to the PS brand compared to the Xbox brand makes complete sense.

GTA, even if it started on PC, was strongly associated with the PS brand even if I do agree that GTA has never be a "real" console exclusive since it quickly appeared on Xbox too. I do agree.

FF has been exclusive to the PS plateform from FF7 to FF12 I do think (putting away FF11).
Of course, previous episode were exclusive to the Ninty plateform but we all know that FF serie got his mainstream occidental glory (europe+NA) with FF7 (ask yourself why people want FF7 remake and not FF6 remake ...).
Again, talking about affiliation to the PS brand compared to the Xbox brand makes complete sense.

...

I think its b/c sony are focusing on creating new and bigger franchises then to worry bout these old ones which i think is a good thing i dont want to be playing the same franchise over and over 10-20yrs it get old i want new things

The new franchises which are exclusive to the PS3 did not take t the wold by storm.

Xbox 360:

Gears of War / 11.6 million sold
Mass Effect / 3.43 million sold (the sequel is just 2 weeks on the market)
Left 4 Dead / 5.2 million sold
Crackdown / 1.52 million sold for one game is not bad either.

on the PS3

Resistance / 5.5 million
Motorstorm / 4.37 million (heavily bundled)
Uncharted / 5.51 million
LBP / 3.08 million

Wii is in another league

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Sony is too confident in its first party games. That' s a big error, because its Uncharted, God of war, TLG, Heavry rain ecc ecc AREN' T system seller.
The true system sellers are the third party games: Final fantasy, Modern warfare, GTA and many others. Microsoft has understood that (they bought Vesperia and Star ocean as timed exclusives and they helped xbox360 to sell in Japan)... Sony doesn' t.

"That' s a big error, because its Uncharted, God of war, TLG, Heavry rain ecc ecc AREN' T system seller" I beg to differ :)

"helped xbox360 to sell in Japan" You must be joking? It barely outsells the PS2 in Japan! The tiny sales jump that they got from the JRPG's they bought lasted all of a week or two!
