Forums - Gaming Discussion - (Rumor) Big Layoffs at Radical (Prototype)

damnd Activision. Damnd the industry for thinking that EVERYGAME has to be a runaway success. When were the times where 300k was a success. Where were the times if the game made a profit it would get a sequal. Seems today that unless you sell multi millions your studio isn't worth blank paper.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

That's too bad. Radical did a fine job with Scarface. A few of the missions had lousy design, but the programming was pretty tight and the gameplay was very solid.

Why are Blizzard still hanging with Activision?

I hope they do a 'all the good people leave and start a new studio' thing. Then Activision can make Warcraft and Starcraft games until they're as frequent and unimaginative as CoD or GH, and we can get the game design talent doing what made Blizzard games great.

Or they could simply just part from Activision, take their IP with them, and leave Activision with the lackluster sequels to GH and MW that are bound to be milked to death.

I LOVE ICELAND!

I really don't like this company. I'm to the point where I may even start boycotting Blizzard games, that's how much I hate the way Activision operates.

They are a merged company and cannot be split very easily.

Well, they are Blizzard, I'm sure they could find a way.

If not, investors should fire Kotick and give his seat to Morhaime.

I agree that it would be better for Blizzard to ditch Activision but i doubt it will happen.

I don't really mind. Prototype was a terribly "meh" game. No one who has played it can deny it.
