Just under a year old. See sig for specs but im planning on upgrading my 4870's to 5870's and adding another pair of monitors for an awesome eyefinity setup :D

Long Live SHIO!

Oct 2008. q6600 and 8800gs still going strong.

about 2.5 years old and I plan to keep it for some time. If most pc games do not go much beyond current console levels I won't have the need to upgrade for quite some time.

I built my PC on the release date of the 8800GTS. I just looked up when it was released, and wow, 2006. My PC is already almost a full 4 years old.
I can still run all current games I play at 1650x1024 (My 22" Native Res) with all setting but AA an Anis maxed. I usually run AA and Anis at 4x each.
Since I don't need a larger monitor for quite some Time, I may not need to upgrade anything other then my video card for at least a year or more.

15 months.

Did a lot of shuffling of parts, starting with a OEM HP Q6600 based PC that I dismantled before even turning it on back around April 2008 I think.

After buying and swapping enough parts that I had enough to essentially build a second PC, I bought an Antec 900 and an E8400 CPU (the only two components that weren't replaced) and reassembled all those extra parts into a gaming PC/test bed. That was around Nov. 2008. Only for gaming.

The Q6600 HP (returned to stock clock which is criminal) was more or less reassembled to stock form with a 9600GT and an upgraded PSU and has been my day to day PC since Nov. 2008.

It's been less than a year and a half and I'm doing another build for After Effects and Maya that will make good use of an i7 build. Picked up an i7 920 for $199 at Micro Center and a 3x2GB set of Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600 for $170 before $30 rebate today. Picking out an X58 motherboard and CPU cooler; should have the new build done by the end of the month.

The only thing I plan on swapping out over the next 12 months are a pair of VGA cards (waiting for Fermi benchmarks and possibly ATI's new line of GPUs scheduled for the back half of 2010) and possibly dropping in another 6GB of RAM if project sizes start to get too big.

My baby is about to have her 2nd birthday! And she is still kicking it and won't struggle with anything :D

Umm... what do I vote for if it's 3-4 years old?

Built 18 months ago as a power saving PC.

Fully loaded but with a fanless GPU and fanless CPU heatsink.

Whisper quiet and 2/3 the energy pull of my last PC.

Ohhh details? Im curious about building a proper HTPC.
