"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.
Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi
It depends. In western world it will be pretty much dead probably next year but in developing areas like Asia and South-America it will sell for many years.
PS2 will be around for a few more years yet...
It only just launched in Brazil, didn't it?
solidpumar said: It still selling quite well on developing countries due to easy hacking and pirating. I think will only be discontinued when the Wii starts selling for $150 dollar, that is when will steal the market of the ps2 on those countries since the wii also easy to hack for pirates. |
I am talking about playing PSP titles in the PS3. As far as I know, you can only play the minis, but not the full games.
Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

i only got my PS2 a few months ago, my brother gave me it. and i've been buying games for it because it has some of the best games, ever.
All the EB Games and Game Stops around here are now clearing out (or no longer carry) PS2 games (and GC/XB) and Walmart and the like stopped having a PS2 section for a while now. Doesn't look like any developers are going to make any new PS2 games as they are all projecting it's death. With no games available for purchase, systems sales are sure to plummet to zero. I can't see PS2 lasting even another 6 months.
However it's had a monstrous run and will always be remembered as a truly great system.
