If it fits without a hammer it should work.
“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

thanks but i don't know how much rpms it is,it does have any of that written on it
actually it should say its rpm on the label on the hard-drive unless he took/pealed it off. anyways if it's a 2.5 sata it can be used on any ps3.

LOL
@OP
any standard sata 2.5" hdd should work... but whats the harm in trying? you can only know by doing it!
7,200 rpm hdd also work... a good 7,200 rpm hdd is cooler than most of 5,400 rpm ones, so heat ain't a problem... see reviews of seagate momentum 4 and WD black scorpion...
