Forums - Nintendo - Rumor: Ubisoft to publish No More Heroes 2 in Europe?

Tomorrow (Thursday) Rising Star Games are supposed to make an announcement about the European release of No More Heroes 2.

According to these News Ubisoft may actually end up being the publisher instead of Rising Star Games. No More Heores 2 is listed as one of Ubisofts upcoming games. The article doesn't say if this list is for European releases only though, but the site posting it is European if I'm not mistaken.

 

Take this with a lot of salt, maybe some curry, and be sure to check out Rising Star Games' announcement tomorrow.

who cares if they didn't do good for NA, its good for us because its a high chance we will get the mature version.. rising star aint that great considering what they did to our version on the first no more heroes

Oh come on, are people still whining about this? It's the exact same game. Hell, I even prefer it being smoky instead of bloody.

I'm not sure why people think Ubi releasing the game with no marketing is so horrible. Rising Star couldn't even get EU retailers to stock Muramasa. Surely Ubisoft can at least manage that much.

completely different situation, unlike muramasa, NMH was very successful here. Even today when its difficult to find copies of games like tales of symphonia 2 and madworld,  most stores i go to have 5-6 copies of NMH, im guessing retailers would be quite happy stocking the sequel. If i remember the first one got advertising in gaming magazines and on TV

This.  As bad as Ubi can be, they're still a top 10 publisher and can get decent distribution.  If someone like XSEED or Natsume had published NMH2 in America, it probably would've sold like 15k 1st week.
