Looking at the overall top 50, lots of this year's "expected seller" releases seem to have mediocre legs. Valkyria 2 and DarkSide Chronicles stick out for me especially, I figured both would do a lot better after their encouraging debuts... Top 50 still seems ruled by mainly last year's leggy DS/PSP/Wii/PS3 games.

God Eater fell was short of what I was expecting. It's future now depends on legs, but underselling PStarP upfront isn't a great sign considering the preorders, downloads and general hype that's been building around it. This was supposed to be PSP's 2nd million selling IP. :/

Other notes, Shiren 3 PSP bombed hard (worst selling game in the entire series!) but not as hard as TVC UAS (wtf happened here?!), MH3 finally passed a million (lol) and FFXIII looks like it's definitely falling short of 2 million (lol).

Looks like the Wii version didn't pop much music for Konami, compared to the PSP version.

Probably because the Wii version looked, sounded and played like shit.  Pop'n fans were a little outraged over it.  Wii certainly has no problem selling quality music games as evidenced by Taiko (which never even broke 100k on PSP btw).

Exactly! The Wii version was totally different and not even really Pop'n, IMO. I'm a big Pop'n fan and I didn't buy it. I bought the PSP game and it's more like an actual pop'n game, though I wish Konami had released it on the PS2 instead so I could actuallyuse my damn pop'n controller.

Anyway, SO4 International only sold 56% of its shipment, that's pretty bad. If sales don't hold up next week, the game will probably go in price really fast as stores try to clear out stock of the game.

JRPGs show some incredible first week drops in Japan:
Resonance of Fate PS3 --> 77.2%
Ar Tonelico III --> 89.2%
Resonance of Fate 360 --> 81.9%
The Last Rebellion --> dead

Currently playing on PS3: God of War III

Currently playing on Xbox360: Final Fantasy XIII

Currently playing on NDS: Chrono Trigger

I dunno what Konami was thinking... they should've followed Taiko's lead and done a full franchise installment with a dedicated controller bundled in.  They probably could've had a 105k lifetime seller rather than a 5k lifetime seller. :/

i think the ps3 software buyers are a little confused star ocean,end of eternity,er-tonelico.last rebellion (so close releases ) what to get ? not to mention that some want to get FF13(FROM THOSE THAT DIDN 'T) i blame jp companies for so close jrpg releases

Ouch... JP preview was way off with Goddoita !

SO4 was more than I expected....Will it sell less than 360 version ?

It probably would have trouble sell through the first shipment (150,882 if the leaked number is to be believed) which is less than first week on 360.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

Yeah, I doubt it gets a 2nd shipment.  Looking more and more like Vesperia was a fluke...

Yeah, I was surprised when they announced a Wii version and then I saw the videos of the gameplay and I was like wtf? A mini-controller like the DC/PS1/PS2 version bundled with the game(like another Best Hits version or something) would have been good for the Wii instead of the what they put out. Sure it wouldn't have made use of any motion controls, but Taiko doesn't either (I think).

I THINK S04 international will appeal more to North Americans, Spanish,Germans,Italian,french because most of reviewers and players of the 360 version complained about the lack of jap sound IGN gave it a 8.0 and put this lack as a big negative
