Sorry for the fail tables, highlight them and they become readable.

Also, inb4 'get 64 bit or you wont see all your ram'

Anyway, tis the first time ever that I'll be capable of playing games with good graphics, so I need some recommendations. Anything really, Strategy and RPG particularly.

Specifically, I've heard good things about Borderlands. Is it actually good?

Also, if I like Battlefield 1942 and BF2, which new or upcoming battlefields should I be looking for?

Oh, and is 7 Premium 64 bit what I should install?

Cheers

Mass Effect 2.

Mass Effect 2 is hardly graphics intensive. I run it at highest spec without slowdown on my laptop! However, by comparison, Empire: Total War slows down to a juddering mess at the highest specs.

I heard a game called Crysis has ok graphics, maybe you should check it out.

Cheers everyone.

gurglesletch - I played Crysis on a friend's computer and the gameplay was not to my liking

Neither of those video cards are particularly good - you should try to find one with a mobility 5000 series card.

In my opinion Anno 1404 (Dawn of Discovery in NA) and its predecessor Anno 1701 (1701 A.D. in NA) are among the best looking PC games - even though 1701 was already released in late 2006.

I love the extemely detailed graphics of these games and I hope Firaxis will consider a similar art direction whenever they start to develop Civilization V.
