But if it is true (i don't doubt) this is a proof of how worried MS was (is) about the power of Final Fantasy brand. Perhaps if Final Fantasy XIII don't sell well on Xbox360 we will not see any other iteration (besides XIV) again on MS console.

I think the reason that Sony as of right now doesn't have a FF13 bundle for NA and Europe is because of God of War 3. God of War 3 will get the Sony push first with bundles and what not.

I will be getting all the FF stuff on 360.

I don't see any reason there won't be a special edition. Wait until closer to release, there's no reason to preorder the normal game months in advance anways.

Is this really going to make a difference though for Microsoft? On the one hand, you figure that Playstation brand loyalty is a big factor behind the 360 version being out pre-ordered by over 2:1. But then again, Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Devil May Cry, etc. were all "Playstation brands" and look what happened in NA... 360 versions sold more. I figure that those who pre-order FF13 are more likely to be hardcore FF fans and hardcore FF fans are more likely to be Pro-Playstation. The more mainstream gamers are less likely to pre-order. So we might see 360 numbers pick up after release. Taking that into account, the bundle may be a smart move. It's going to be difficult to get the hardcore FF geeks (except for the mavericks who prefer the dreaded gaijin console) to bite but it will grab more casual/mainstream fans of the genre. I strongly doubt the majority of the 2.74m who bought FFX in NA are western otaku. Most are regular gamers who buy into game hype and go with it. Jocks, meatheads, fratboys, etc. they did buy FF7. Because MTV told them to. Amazing how far advertising can take a very Japanese-esque geeky game like FF.

It's a simple retail listing, not a confirmation by Microsoft or SE. Also, the box is done by photoshop, it seems. The box shows a white console and white controllers, but the listing lists both of them as black.
