Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Ghost Recon: Future Soldier in development for Wii!

Ubisoft’s just confirmed it’s developing a Ghost Recon title specifically for Wii.

Nothing else was mentioned on it other then it’ll be created just for the system, and it’ll be different then Ghost Recon: Future Soldier for PS3 and 360, which was just announced today.

No release date was announced.

The news came as part of Ubisoft’s Q3 earnings call, which also confirmed Rome as a location for the next Assassin’s Creed title, due this year.

Seriously? That's pretty cool, and very unexpected.

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

Slow down ubisoft...I'm still working on Dead Space Extraction and other on-rails goodness thats out on the wii. :)

There's *another* Assassin's Creed due *this* year?? Do any of these companies understand the concept of not over-saturating and killing their own market?

on rails gr defeats the entire purpose of a tactical strategy game

Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6).  This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.

if its not on rails tho, its a day one purchase

ive beaten all the other ones aside from portable games

How 'different' are we talking here?

I was wondering if an of the other publishers were going to notice that Activision has been paying a couple million dollars to port their premiere HD franchise to the Wii and getting easy millions.

"The game will be different though, he pointed out. It will be developed by a different team than the one working on the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game. And it will have a "different approach created for the Wii population."
