Forums - Gaming Discussion - Dead Space Extraction Coming To XBLA, PSN?

i enjoyed this game more than Dead Space , its soo much more Alive , no pun intended.

Well that's what they tried to portray, all these people, that died, which leads up to the original Dead Space and why the main character is alone with all these necromorphs around.

one of the best Wii games ever made heading over to the HD boys? Sure lets share teh wealth

Honestly I'm a huge fan of light gun games (my youth was me wasting quarters playing HotD 2 player with me controlling both guns) but man Dead Space Extraction impressed my friend way more than it did me... you'd meet a character, that character would die, you never felt anything for said character so their death was meaningless, then it tried to combine Dead Space gameplay and lightgun gameplay which is basically arcade love through and through, and it didn't work for me.  Not to mention the bugs... not a lot mind you but they're there...

Visually I was impressed though, like when the mining crew was in the suits it looked just as good as they did on PS3/360 it really looked above and beyond the normal Wii game.

It might actually sell on PSN/XBLA cause they wouldn't charge 50 dollars for it and there's been like one lightgun game total on the PS3, some people like my friend will like it, I however will stick to HotD Overkill that's a game that HD only owners should beg for lol

I would get a light gun game for 9.99 from PSN. They are great for a saturday night. But I dont beg for one lol

Only 9.99? Son the arcades of my day would have eaten you alive, a dollar per play and they had the difficulty set on high

This game was about as exciting as watching paint dry.

Now people that own the HD systems can see why it sold so well.

If it's a PSN game for a cheap price then yeah I'd probably think about picking it up. However, that then begs the question why I never bothered with the wii version...I think I'm probably more willing to give a game a go on my ps3 rather than my wii, especially when the main reason for my wii are the nintendo franchise games.

It proves what EA was actually always thinking about their "quality hardcore game's" value.

Their supposedly honest, and best effort on the Wii, is a $15 downloadable on any other console.

By the way, DS:E is already at 200k WW on the Wii.

$15, that doesn't show much confidence in their own product.

HD consoles have more competition for this type of game than Wii has.   For an XBLA/PSN game you cannot price too high either or no way people will buy it.

I think Call of Duty Classic, a full FPS with online multiplayer is the same price...and CoD has more fans and following than Dead Space.

it's not even a FPS, there is very little competition for light gun games on HD console, especially on 360.  This game came out half a year ago and they are already trying to sell it for $15.  Yes, HD owners won't buy this for $50, neither will anyone on any system, ever.

The competition is Time Crisis 4... a near launch PS3 game... I really cannot think of another lightgun game on either PS3 or 360...

It might actually sell to Dead Space fans EA created on PS3 and 360, but there really isn't the lightgun fanbase there to sell to, it might be a good game to start building that fanbase up.

that's why i said especially 360, and i have no idea how he thinks wii doesn't have competition in the genre.  The wii has way, way too many lightgun/ point and shoot games.  The genre is completely oversaturated.

I never said the lightgun genre.  I said this type of game, meaning mature rated, story driven and aimed at adults.  They also are not trying to sell it for $15 already, this was just a survey and not even a confirmation it is heading to PS3/360.

yeah when you say what type of game you are playing you don't say mature or kiddy.  You say action, adventure etc.
Just because it is mature and story driven doesn't mean it has a lot of competition.  The gameplay is completely different and that's what people are talking about.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

I meant what I meant, you just assumed wrong.

regardless of that, games are not in competition because of being mature or kiddy, they are in competition because of the type of gameplay.

now thats the price i would pay for that game, and many other rail shooters on the wii.
