Forums - Gaming Discussion - Epic shooter, Dead Space 2, Need for Speed and new Dragon Age out Q4 FY11, says EA

EA just dropped some major news in its Q3 fiscal release, confirming a slew of big shot games for it’s FY11 Q4.

EA has just confirmed that Dead Space 2, “Dragon Age Title TBA”, “Shooter from Epic TBA”, “Need For Speed Title TBA” and “Action Title TBA” will all ship between January-March 2011.

The Epic game is described as “co-published”. This is almost certainly the People Can Fly game, rumoured to be called Bulletstorm.

The “action title” is fully downloadable.

EA just confirmed that Crysis 2 will release in EA’s third quarter next year, meaning it’ll ship between October-December 2010.

The company also said that a Need for Speed game will ship in the quarter. As noted here, that means we’re going to get a new NfS in the Christmas quarter, then another game in the first three months of calendar 2011.

The Crysis fanboys will be popping corks, though. The game’s set in New York and features a fully updated Nanosuit, complete with new abilities. Get more on that here.

I can't wait for Crysis 2 to come out, game is going to be epic. Hopefully it doesn't get delayed.

Odd. Future. Wolf. Gang. Kill. Em. All. OFWGKTA Don't give a fuck!

Fuck Steve Harvey. FREE EARL!

Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be the GREATEST game EVER made!!!

I'd take a bullet for Square-Enix!

I think the OP is slightly wrong, it indicates that NfS will come in Q1 2011

Another Dragon Age within 18 months? Maybe just another expansion pack?

EDIT: Hang on, there will be a NfS in the holidays, as expected, but then another one in Q1 2011. I would much prefer that these games were properly announced rather than listed as TBAs

Yeah, probably a second expansion pack. But I'm still very happy.

My guess is the Wii / DS NFS is the Christmas one, while the PS3/360/PC one has been delayed to Jan - March 2011 for whatever reason. Probs cause the Burnout guys need a bit more time making their own brand of Nfs.

Dead space 2 in 2011? WHAT !! thats So long!

Nothing on that list seems obviously tailor-made for Natal or Sony motion controls (unless "Hasbro Family Game Night Title" is such a game). I wonder if such titles are excluded on purpose, or EA will just support motion controls in some of their existing casual franchises.

EA sports Active was already confirmed and Grand Slam Tennis 2011 has practically been confirmed.

They specifically state the list in incomplete, just seemed to have put a few random unannounced titles on the list for the hell of it. I'm sure there is more to come, albeit the lack of a hint at ME2 worries me :(. Seems like they're done with Burnout for now too.

Let's see, your post has 2 parts right?

1. So EA Sports Active is confirmed for Natal and/or Sony wand?

2. "lack of ME2 worries me", I assume you say that cause your hoping for a PS3 version, right??
