how can you say Ps3 is doing well ------ if you meant USA

That console just got to $399 with Spider-Man 3 BD in it + R & C released

It is CRIMINAL if it is below 100K WHICH it is...

How does everyone think COD4 is going to shake out? Will the 360 version hit 800K in the shadow of last week's exceptional GHIII debut? Will PS3 version have a good showing, or will it get blitzed?

Extremely well in Japan is something different. I would say, that the last two or three months all sales in Japan have been horrible, and that this week, the PS3 didn't sell as bad as the others. We will see, if this will continues like this.

I'm really surprised how bad the new generation of consoles is selling in Japan. I think overall sales of PS3, WII and XBOX360 in the USA are great, in Europe it's ok, but in Japan it's really bad.

Super Mario Galaxy has (probably) already started to influence sales because people who are interested in Super Mario Galaxy and any other game probably have been buying the system as other games were released. On top of that people are (potentially) picking up Wii systems today because they're afraid they will be sold out later in November (or December) when they will be Christmas shopping; this is true (to a certain extent) for all systems but I expect the Wii is going to be a (much) more popular as a Christmas gift.

yes but it isn't enough is it....

WII is selling so much due to supply increase + SMG anticipation (in NA)

360 is selling so much because of HALO 3 still, that permanently spiked it's sales (in NA)

PS3 is selling terribly because??? (in NA)

& what gets to me the most is HOW COME the story is "different" in each region

in EU - WII/Ps3 are very close

NA - 360/WII are very close

Japan - WII/PS3 are close (from this week)

either way wii is clearly gaining here n Ps3 NEEDS NA

You mean up 10k - 55k last week, 65k this week.

Really poor return for a full week (?) with the new cheaper PS3 (40gig) models, etc.

Luckily - sales picked up last week a little in Europe as well - up around 15k.

Just as well, this should be an excellent week for the PS3 in Japan - with a lot happening.

So far (this week), PS3 fails in the US - but succeeds in Japan. 

Actually...The X360 spike is due to the vast insanity of the AAA lineup. Like I said earlier this year, it has the best AAA lineup of any system this Christmas, and will sell great due to it.

It's good knowing the X360 can keep up sales with a system that's anywhere from $30-$200 less expensive than it.

with those 360 numbers in America alone, i can now start to think its a wii bit ovetracked, but its definitly possible, and if it is true, then America HD console is has been decided

There is no chance sony can take the 360 out in japan unless some amazing game comes out.
