2.5 million. Nintendo isn't revamping it in 2.5/3D to let it sell anything less than that.
In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

I bet on 1.7 million.
If Nintendo puts a decent advertising campaign behind this game, I'm guessing that it will do around 2 million.......however if Nintendo decided to not put much advertising behind the game then I think about 1.3 million

You should congratulate me. I destroyed the vile red falcon and saved the universe. I consider myself a hero.
We haven't seen much of the actual gameplay yet, but based on the Metroid franchise and Team Ninja's past sales record, I think 1-1.5m is most likely.
I voted for a million, but even that is quite a stretch (the way I see the Metroid series sales-wise, at least). I'd love to be wrong, though.
1.5 million sounds about right. It can maybe make 2 million if it's marketed really well.
Without much marketing, around 1.5 Million. With good marketing, anywhere from 2-4 million.
There's also the unknown Japanese market to consider this time around. While Metroid games hardly ever do good in Japan, this time around its being done with Team Ninja and it might really pick up some of the Japanese crowd as a result. Anywhere from a measly 50,000 to a whopping million.
