Good score, don't think I can be arsed to get this game though. Just too MW2 like and I've still got a long way to go platinuming that game lol.

The whole online shooter thing seems to have died for me too... I just couldn't get into MW2 no matter what and there was no reason why :/. Meh.

just noticed that heavy rain is starting off with a 95 on metacritic, lets hope it stays above 92! =D

I think it will be up there in some ways, but since MW2 also has coop, and a seemingly more customisable experience, it will probably remain the popular choice. I can already say that I like Bad Company 2 more though.

I can see it settling higher than a 90..

you see, GT shane (GT being one of the biggest reviewers) hinted at the beginning of the podcast, that is enjoying Heavy rain more than he ever expected to enjoy it.. hopefully that ends up being the case for most reviewers.

It matters because, the core audience or most of it usually pits themselves on metacritic to see if a game is worth wasting $60 on..

Heavy rain was not on my list, but now its starting to creep its way into it.

After playing the PC Beta for a few days now I need no other confirmation that this game is awesome.

It's true that the Metacritic score won't effect the quality of the game, and it's also true the Metacritic score may effect the reception of the game.

Nevertheless it can be assumed it's a quality game and even if it doesn't get a Metacritic score as high as one would like, word of mouth will help do the game it's justice.

Well deserved score, the online demo is great.

The game will not have an impact on the gaming industry as Mass Effect 2 and other game have because this is just another War shooter that gamers will pondering whether they should decide to play over Call of Duty 2, Battlefield 2, Modern Warfare 1/2 and what other War games people play.

Quality wise, this game is being released 5 months after Modern Warfare 2, so yeah it should be much better considering MW2 felt a bit rushed especially in the multiplayer department. But except for quality I do not think it will have better sales nor more players playing it than MW2.

Overall. Good score
