Unless it makes developers flock to the Wii as they should have been, and people would still buy it in droves, it's not going to happen. They will not simply take the Wii and beef up the specs. It will be an entirely new system that has new specs.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

If a new Wii was about to coming out , Nintendo miyamoto would be working on it and not on a Motion Plus game ... See its DS2

You are making things up now. A Super Robot wars game has been announced, Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 has been announced, The new pokemon game, and Sonic and sega allstars racing are just a few of the annouced games. Besides Publishers and Developers announce titles all the time. There's really no specific time frame for game announcements. E3 usually has a lot of game announcements but other than that Developers and Publishers tend to wait to hype a game up shortly before it's released. I do think you are trying to hard to find some reason for this rumor to be true. The DS is still selling incredibly well all it needs is more software. The DSI XL still has not be released in the West and will most assuredly spur DS sales higher. Why would Nintendo announce a new platform before the DSI XL has a chance to sale? It does not make sense. |
Because there would be minimal overlap for the DSi XL. Another 3rd-pillar strategy with about a year of solid overlap between the platforms could work quite handily again, with early adopters not overlapping with the old folks that the XL is intended for in the first place.
Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Yeah I agree that it's pretty much a given it's not a Wii successor, I even doubt a Wii upgrade as it's not really viable and only something certain people are hoping for, unless it's an add on for the Wii which I doubt as the vitality sensor is on the way and neither it or WMP were hinted at in such a way signs are pointing to the handheld market whether a successor or new model DS. Imho this could probably coincides with the new generation of Pokemon.

Could be, but not just that.
It can maybe have online multiplayabiltity? That's one thing handheld consoles lack, although yes, you can wire up with your other friend or wireless.
Try to make it like the ipod touch, wider screen.
Make sure it doesn't glare.

I know most people would freak out, but a DSi Virtual Console would totally make my year.
