Hmmm, I don't think GameFaqs is a reliable source for release dates. It's all user compiled and nowhere did Nintendo ever confirm or announced the existence of Kirby Wii. It just happens that it has been appearing since the GC era in the FY listings. Plus I'm getting my release dates from dengekionline.com, they are sales trackers as well as a reputable gaming magazine in Japan, and they haven't even got Kirby Wii in the TBA March games. Maybe after April things get better for the Wii, but if this is all it has coming up until then, I can see it going down to the same levels where it got last year. Once again thanks to a huge game drought that shouldn't have happened.

Release dates aren't user compiled on GameFAQs, it shares the same database as Gamespot.  The Kirby date is mysterious, but remember in another week we'll also have that Nintendo Dream "new game in an established series, hardcore won't care" reveal that Nintendo held back from their retailer meeting...

Also, dengeki's worng if they still list Feb for NMH PS3, it was delayed to April.

True, they changed it to April. 360 has it coming on February though.

Updated the OP, first 2 weeks went to the Wii. Added new games to the release list.

According to the Japanese preview, the release of the 250 GB PS3 SKU and the release of RE5: AE could put the PS3 over the Wii this week.

I doubt PS3 will beat Wii unless there's a sudden shortage of Wiis or every person in Japan has a Wii already. It's hard to compete against price and it's hard to capture the casual market the way the Wii already has.

NO!! the ps3 will not outsell the wii because nintendo is catering to the hardcore japanese crowd and they tend to buy good games over there unlike us wii owners here........... RPGS

japan usually gets the good games months before us and sometimes we see the game a year later and then they get good games we'll never see in america..........

the reason nintendo does this is because they have to deal with 2 hd consoles over here and only 1 over there...........

It's all about the SW, which the Wii will be lacking for a few months to come. HW doesn't sell on its own.

It will beat the wii at the end of march and will probably outsell it for a few months (except when big wii games are launching)
you can qoute me on this

reasons for that?
- NSMBWs impact will be lower over the coming weeks
- almost no new Wii games
- PS3 has some good games releasing (yakuza 4,SSF4,GoW3 and so on)

The FF13 did help the PS3 for a few weeks last year not to mention the PS3 price reduction and slim release.  But I don't see any games other than Yakuza 3 that would appeal to the Japanese.  The fact the the Wii comes with Wii sports solidfies the casual market for Nintendo.

Wii doesn't come with Wii Sports in Japan, and the PS3 outsold the Wii for many weeks even before the Slim was released. You probably are just guessing.
