PS3 now won 20 weeks this year vs 18 for the Wii.

Last year the PS3 won 23 weeks and the Wii won 29 weeks.

Can the PS3 win 4 more weeks to surpass its last year performance? Can it win 6 or more to end up winning the same amount of weeks or more than the Wii???

Indeed. And we are seeing also a great PC comeback. All this is both crazy and awesome, because it means every platform is a strong competitor and the weaker ones are able to better and get stronger even at the half of their life, if not even later. A highly dynamic gaming world is just good, to try to win each one will have to be more creative and offer more. And hopefully, with all this competition, user-unfriendly practices will finally start backfiring on those that do them.

Exactly my thoughts. It's like people are buying a Wii just to own one.. I really cant believe it still holds at around 15k a week without anything releasing. Hopefully kirby will change this!!

The benefit of being the market leader I think, or at least partly.  But PS3 right now seems to be in a good position, this strong showing most weeks has allowed it to ape the leader to the point where it's actually beating it.
