Wii actually has the two biggest console games for summer (Mario Galaxy 2 & DQM Battle Road).  Plus Xenoblade and MOM could be decent sellers (200k territory).

The biggest game to which I was referring is obviously DQM Battle Road, and Mario Galaxy 2 and Xenoblade are spring releases.

The last one sadly has a change of becoming the biggest bomb for this spring.

Naw, I doubt any game could take the title of "biggest bomb for this spring" away from Kensax. lol!

Besides, I thought Xeno was June now?  That's not spring anymore?  Galaxy 2 is just days away too (May 27th), it's going to do most of it's sales this summer.

In Europe summer doesn't start till June 21, but yeah, Mario Galaxy 2 will probably do half of it's LTS during this summer.

I think that Xenoblade could bomb, because somehow Nintendo hasn't been able create enough hype and it seems like the pre-orders are right now below 10k.

Looking it up, Summer in Japan actually starts May 5th (ack!) and runs through August 6th! :/

I agree with Xenoblade, there's heavy bomb potential.  Preorders tend not to favor Wii games traditionally though, it's probably one of the least consistent indicators for Wii software sales.  And on top of that, Xeno looks like one of the least predictable titles itself, it really could go either way imo.  I do at least see the potential for 200k+ though, which is more than can be said for most consoles games this summer.

I will probably be mistaken but I have the impression that expectations for DQM: Battle Road Victory are too high. At the moment I have it around 350k units though I wouldn't discard 500k or even more, I think it is a wild card.

I have bad vibes regarding Xenoblade sales I hope I'm wrong. There's a lot of effort and love put into this game and it deserves to have success.
