Those who think different sales number otherwise, just let it go and believe in VGC numbers =)

You should at least recheck your figures, that is why a lot of users are getting frustrated here, to them it looks like you are conveniently avoiding our claims, ban me all you want, I just had to say this.
Also i don't know if TwistedPixel is staff but he says this issue is being looked at now, thanks to me and others that have pointed out the flaws of this whole 2.7m ps3 waiting around business. (whether it be on shelves or waiting in warehouses, or is simply on it's way to stores, it is too many!!)

There is no mess.  Your just being silly.  It's already been explained like... a thousand times.

Twistedpixel has 356 posts... does that sound like someone who's a part of the staff?

You'll recognize staff because they'll have names that are different colored from the "common" names.

Fair enough, i did not look into his account details, my fault.

Still my point is valid when ps3 has a 2.7 difference, you can't blame us for seriously doubting these numbers, especially when the gap for the others is less than 2 million

Other your point NOT being valid.

Considering Vgchartz numbers agree with an actual Sony CEO and all the major trackers.

the problem with that is sony have been saying the 31 million quote since December, the excuse used back then was different you all thought it was shipped amounts

That comment was made 3 days ago... not december.

ok, but i think he said that based on old ps3 sales information.

So... you think he decided to use old information combined with very recently released 360 information.

Do you realize how stupid that would make him... i mean you'd be intentionally spinning your sales the wrong way.

If there was a 31 million number back in december at some time it was likely a completly different number.  For example if it was mid december... what they had shipped up until that point.

Not sure the thread is having the desired effect. Seems more like a thread created to discuss the issue such as the Official Shipped versus Sold thread. I guess if we had such a thread I could avoid it.

Kinect as seen by PS3 owners ...if you can pick at it   ...post it ... Did I mention the 360 was black and Shinny? Keeping Sigs obscure since 2007, Passed by the Sig police 5July10.

yes but you all claim sony can't magically know what sales have reached the customer, so he must have been using old sales data(there is now way to tell real end user sales as u told me), as they have just calculated the real amounts(33.5mln), and yes it did make him look very silly, glad it got cleared up now

This stuff is always hilarious and I love it.

u should put it in the about us area say that ur #s are sold to consumers also mentioned that americas is not just 50 states theres alot of people on other sites who dont know that

maybe thats y there have been so many threads u dont really have any info about what ur numbers are all about anywhere on this site u cant expect every1 to know that

i dont see much problem with the numbers people who cant believe that there are 2m+ on shelves really need to think that if every store that sell HW as only 1 ps3 on shelve (which they dont they really have more than 1) and then think how many stores there are world wide that sells HW (walmart gamestop target sony style amazon kmart sears toysrus best buy) 2m isnt really hard to be unbelievable

how many stores are there WW that sell HW? if they only just have 1 ps3 per store on shelve you dont think u'll get 2m+?

edit- oh shit didnt see that this was stickied

                                                                      Play Me

Hmm. If the numbers are indeed correct that would mean that Sony's new average ship-to-retail vs. sold-to-consumer discrepency has jumped to 2.6 million since that's been the discrepency for at least two quarters in a row now.
