The PS2 was launched in mainland China 4 years after it's release in the rest of the world.

The main reason is that once the production costs comes down it would have be more affordable to the Chinese.

Some believe the same stragedy will be used for the PS3 and China has moved on a lot economically in the last six years.

The PS3 is not there yet but give it time.

no i am not recommendsing anything.looking at the last few weeks and how people have been talking about the PS3 memort hack(pbviosly its not complete yet).the reason why PS3 hasn't been hacked yet is because  very few people have tried it and the cost's are too high.

but if FF13 was to be insanely popular in china,then they would go all-out to hack the PS3

I don't think that'll work on slim....it's only for FAT ones (Sony changed the hardware design for slim....)

and it still a long way to go to play a pirated game on PS3 since Sony has a lot of protection in the hardware...

The reason why PS3 hasn't been hacked...it's not very few people doing this (according to my information...many hackers in US/EU are trying.)

The main reason is first....the game on PS3 is too big......especially for exclusives...second...there's hardware protection in PS3.

And I have to say....the version told about in Taipei Game Show is traditional Chinese version....

This language only used in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao...

People in China use simplified Chinese....most of them can't read traditional Chinese....because the words of each don't look the same,

and they think the words of traditional Chinese are too complex to learn....

So.....since most of people in China can't read traditional Chinese....

how come they will help hacking PS3 because of FFXIII traditional Chinese version....

And don't forget..there's no PS3 official release in China..

many few big hackers have tried till now cause mostly the blu-ray burners and balnk discs were costly

abd there is nothig stoping the Slim from being hacked.Sony didn't change the design,they only removed the linux support and this has nothing to do with the hack of the PS3.

the geo hotz hack was just of the memory and it needed help of an external OS.people have alreadyinstalled windows xp on the PS3 SLIM so thats not an issue or they can do a modchip thing or outsource an external os

Anyways, I don't see mentions of a Chinese dub, so it's most likely Japanese VO with Chinese subs, therefore I'm canceling the NA pre-order and waiting for the Chinese version since I have no love for Aussie english, just Aussie women.
