I have a 60 gb unit that was purchased May 2007.  Besides gaming on it, it is my main Blu-Ray player in my house.  So the machine gets quite a workout and is still running great.

I have bought 3 sofar and not one has broke down, 1 60GB at near launch, 1 40 GB in early 2009, and a slim oct 2009

I AM BOLO

100% lover "nothing else matter's" after that...

ps:

Proud psOne/2/3/p owner.  I survived Aplcalyps3 and all I got was this lousy Signature.

60gb ps3 bought about 4 months after it came out in toronto around february to march forgot exactly when. It's still living though that should make it around 3 years now :)

My 60GB ylod last few weeks ago after 3 and 1/2 years. but I fixed it myself. it's working fine now and it sounds like new.

It never had a breakdown, fortunately. Today I even upgraded the HDD to a 320GB one. Happy times!

My PS3 is still going.

My 60GB from October 2007 is still going strong with no problems at all.

I had a 60 GB PAL model for almost two years before it got YLoD. But then again, it was already out of warranty when I bought it 'cause I bought it used. Brings it to almost three years. But the most important part is that I managed to fix it myself, only spent some 10€ ^^

80 gig MGS PS3 (with backwards compatiblity). At its current rate, it'll break down in 2057.

Got my 60GB model in July of 2007 and it's still running like a charm.
