Alot of people see ME2 as more of a TPS (third person shooter) with rpg elements and a interactive changeable story / world. Mass Effect 2 is quite a bit different from Mass Effect.

I totally agree The game is a solid 9.9 or let's just say 10/10 in my opinion, but it isn't an RPG as much as it is an action game.

Sure, you still have abilities, and experience points to collect, but they do not play nearly as big a part as they did in the first game. I felt like the focus was more on streamlined combat (the reduced cooldown powers for all classes prove that) melding with the story. Coincedently, the story missions were shorter, with the exception of the last suicide mission.

ME2 is as much an RPG as something like Metal Gear Solid, I'd go as far as to say that if it is meant to be an RPG then it's one of the worst ever. It's mainly a 3rd person shooter with a very strong interactive movie.

Just to be clear, I don't think it is an RPG, but when it appears as an RPG GOTY Candidate, I will vote for it

I like CGI's guesstimate. Fable 2 only hit 3.3m with some serious bundling. I hope M$ will do the same with this far better offering. It will take some GOTYs which makes for a nice title. A promo this holiday and more as ME3 gets close.

While I am definitely immersed in a role with this game, I understand it's not what RPGs used to be. Maybe having DA in the stable let Bioware move away from tradition with this IP? Some of the changes were $uggestions from EA no doubt. Amazing game by whatever name.

im not going to play it. but only because its an rpg, which i despise of. but for fans of the series, it sounds like this games should be goty!!!

Im trying to convince sully1311 to play it! Im sure sully likes 3rd person shooters!!!!
