No way :) I hope Nomura proves him wrong. Unless this is a lie of course and he's just making excuses. |

That's just what I'm thinking is meant by his comment. The environments were important to the game, and all of them relied on that particular perspective trick that necessitated pre-rendered backgrounds to really pop. I could be wrong, of course, but I think this is what he means. |
I love the stuff they put out, but is S-E in a cave somewhere with no access to what other developers have been able to do with the PS3/360 hardware?
It's all about the game.
360 FF7 remake Confirmed !!!!!
Atto Suggests...:
Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series
Game - Metro Last Light
TV - Deadwood
Music - Forest Swords
I think what he means is that for the budget and time it would require to do a FFVII remake, they could better spend their resources on doing something better, like a new game. Especially since a FFVII remake will probably not sell as well today as people think, but fans are so caught up in their own bubble they don't realize that.
If FFVII came out today, it'd probably get dismal reviews. I don't think the gameplay has aged well, but if they change too much of it the hardcore fans will get all pissy. Besides, the story is already told, no reason to see it again.
I don't get it.. HD consoles are supposed to be so advanced, yet they can't handle towns?? For god's sake, 8 bit RPGs could handle towns!
HD consoles are primitive confirmed!
With the economy time & money is key...
