I'd say i'm more interested since...

though it's still not above "bargain bin" status for me... it's a game i'd consider sooner then I would of before all the giant meltdowns about the scores.

I mean it scored poorly in Famitsu... and it's a JRPG, why are people making such a big deal about it getting such poor scores?

The Japanese liked it well enough among this gen's jrpgs to make it possibly the second highest selling one so far next to ffxiii.

I'm interested in playing the game, however the combat is what is really dragging me down :(

I have put in 7 hours since I purchased the game Wednesday Night and have enjoyed every second of it. Once I have finished the game I can say more, but there is nothing I have seen so far that warrants the media bashing WKC has received. 

Hell, I like the fact that your character IS NOT the main character! You're along for the ride and so is YOUR character!

Final Fantasy XII also came out in 2006 in the U.S, 4 years before WKC in the U.S. You honestly believe that the formula is still fresh and reviewers are gonna treat it the same as four years ago? Of course not. Never happened before, shouldn't expect it to happen now. This game, although good, got the score it deserved, It didn't do anything that hasn't been done before except for Online, which is what saved the game review wise in the first place. You shouldn't use the Final Fantasy brand to justify the way this game was reviewed or any other JRPG infact.

 

Uh huh... well that didn't convince me, i could mention FPS and TPS games to destroy the point you tried to make, however im lazy and want to play more wkc.

I wasn't trying to make a point. You don't need to mention those, because I already know the same goes for FPS and TPS. Bad Shooters get the same critique I don't see bad shooters score high, and I can honestly say if Killzone 2 didn't have decent Online and great graphics, it would score like shit. Same goes for any other shooter these days.

9/10s for shooters is more the norm rather than the exception for me this generation whereas for RPGs it's the other way around.

I argue that both are just as repeatative as the other.
