Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Gladiator AD renamed, given release window

I didn't get The Conduit so I can't judge it but this game looks ok I guess.
Right now its looking like this for me:

The Conduit:18% chance of me buying it.
Tournament Of Legends:32% chance of me buying it.
The Grinder:70% chance of me buying it.

I didn't want Sega to publish it but oh well. Hopefully they find a new publisher for The Grinder.

The new name is horible. Sounds really cheap now.

"Nice effort", to me is kind of an insult, btw.

Sounds like Mortal Kombat with new skins.

Bad decision to change to this name. Even before the name change, there was hardly any interest in this game from the very moment it was announced (as opposed to The Grinder, which people show much more interest in). So I predict this game is going to bomb, and hard - by any parameter. I would like to be wrong, but I am unfortunately quite confident I won't be.

Currently Playing: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked, Professor Layton and the Curious Village

Anticipating: Xenoblade, The Last Story, Mario Kart 7, Rayman Origins, Zelda SS, Crush3D, Tales of the Abyss 3DS, MGS:Snake Eater 3DS, RE:Revelations, Time Travellers, Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, Luigi's Mansion 2, MH TriG, DQ Monsters, Heroes of Ruin

Well they've certainly improved the graphics since I last looked.

I just read a hands - on article on IGN. It seems to me that it will be a crappy game. I do not like the sound of it. More colors, maybe no gore at all ? It seems like a generic Rage Of The Gladiator rip - off. I will most probably not pick it up, blah.

No M+ support confirmed btw.

I wonder if Sega was always the publisher behind HV or the secret money tosser that they mentioned.

Perhaps the whole HV is an underdog studio thing was little more than tricky marketing.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

The Hunt Begins 4/20/2010 =D

This will be another High Voltage title.. -frowns-

Interesting premise, decent graphics technology, poor overall execution

Pixel Art can be fun.

I don't feel that the game needed gore, so it doesn't bother me that they got rid of that. It does seem really light on content, though, and it's hard to feel enthusiastic about it when TvC has way more characters and an online mode and Rage of the Gladiator is coming to WiiWare for $10-$15.

Might be a fun game to buy at a bargain price, though.
