Great Wii sales, the console has recovered its momentum though it will need new software as soon as possible, on the contrary I see the Nintendo DS struggling hard, Dragon Quest VI didn't rise its sales.

Numbers are about what was expected.

Hardware's interesting, I guess over 40k is the new Wii baseline?

If those are the real numbers, then I'm surprised the DS didn't have a bigger boost. Sure there are close to 30 million DS' sold in Japan, but still...;-p

Yeah true.  ARF and Muramasa each hit 25-30k iirc.  I think LKS was like 10k territory though.

Reminds me of 3DGH, which also bombed on PS3 recently with a sub 20k debut.
