On-topic: Who cares, this game will have way long legs. It will haunt both the top 25 and the top 50 for a long time.

This and the Metroid Prime 3 sales in the US are going to deflate a lot of headstrong swaggering. The reality that the Wii is mortal is a good thing for both Nintendo and its fans to remember - it'll keep them from getting arrogant, and hopefully keep the goods flowing from both.

Why would you care what other people do or don't buy? Why should you be angry with a country as a whole? I'm more angry at my own country because of the actions of the moron in power and the stupid decisions he's made. Being angry because they haven't gone all out and bought record numbers of a game you happen to like is a bit silly.

Be angry for a good reason, not something that doesn't affect your life directly. Are you losing money because they aren't buying up that game? Are you losing sleep? Do you contemplate what could cause the Japanese to not support that Italian Plumber and the galaxies he meanders through?

For the Japanese, handhelds have advanced to the point where they provide as good an experience as consoles in a much more convenient (portable) and cheaper form. It's primarily the graphics insanity of the West that keeps consoles afloat right now.0

Either way, you must face it: the face of gaming in Japan in changing. It's becoming more culturally acceptable to game on the mass transit systems to work. The Japanese, due to such high population density, must take mass transit to work and everywhere so frequently. Last time I saw, an average person spends 2-3hrs a DAY on mass transit.

If thats the case, where is their time going to be for gaming? At home, or during the 2-3hrs they're sitting motionless on a subway train?

That's just the way things are going. Atleast 17,000 intelligent, wonderful, Japanese boys and girls bought a Xbox 360 over the week :)
