Forums - Microsoft - Natal (partly) Kills Kameo 2?

Of course, Banjo-Kazooie developer Rare, which Microsoft purchased in 2002, is also at work on Project Natal software. However, according to CVG, the studio's Natal development has apparently come at the expense of a sequel to the Xbox 360 launch title Kameo: Elements of Power.

Once again, I'm reminded that motion control is hurting games (in my opinion).

If the default controls next generation for all consoles are motion (I doubt it) then it's time to move to PC gaming :P

They could have made Kameo 2 into a Natal game.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

So now will a bunch of people suddenly claim love for Kameo so they can bash Natal?

Kameo was the first game I purchased with my launch 360. I enjoyed it. It had amazing texture work and the soundtrack still is among the best ever in gaming (seriously, look it up). But the game wasn't great. And no sequel wouldn't make me lose sleep at night, wondering (SPOILER WARNING) if anyone will stop the traitorous mystic.

i agree with you, if motion controls become the norm, its time to go back to pc gaming.

If this is true, then it is possibly the first good thing to come out of Natal. The fewer games like Kameo that exist in the world the better off we all are. Hopefully their NAtal project turns out to be something good.

Some people liked Kameo.

Meh, wasn't a fan of Kameo anyway, i was pissed when they cancelled it for N64, then for Gamecube because Microsoft bought Rare, THEN having played it as a launch title, and being let down by it's gameplay...like i said...Meh.

I thought Kameo was one of the worst games I played this gen. I bought it for $7.50 after buying my 360 and I still felt ripped off. So good news!

cant see myself jumping around after long day of work.
Natal is more like NotATALL for me.
