Do a company has to change when they get the best formula?

And sorry for PS3 owners, but Sony is lazy about games. They are making hardware, not bunch of games + hardware like Nintendo.

Well I've always thought that most of Nintendos games have been gems. I think they're still a great company, and will continue to produce some of the defining games of any generation.

The best, highly subjective, but I think they're great in any book.

Realistically from a financial standpoint, they are the best. They are one of, if not the best money making developers around.

From a gamer stand point, they are like Christmas. Its great when you are young (or young at heart at least) and all the games seem magical and great. But as you get older, you become cynical. Your tastes start to mature more. The lame tricks and pretty decorations that use to make you go ga ga when you were younger don't work anymore.

But again that is what getting older is for. You move on and then come back in eyes of your children and then your children's children...

Perhaps I should have specified that my perspective of "best" came from the business angle. To a business, revenue and profits are as air and water to living beings. Starved of the former, a business will not survive for long. Starved of the latter, a business will hardly fare much better.

What you have to understand about Nintendo is that they didn't have chance with 3rd editors this time.

You say why they don't improve that much their series? Why aren't they creating new licenses? The answer is easy: Nintendo's games are the only one that sells so they based their games on sure values: Mario, Zelda, Fitness and Sports, which the 2 last are getting in popularity nowadays.

That's not their fault. They just need to know that they will make money and then create different games.

Mario Galaxy is the only game that is totally different of its predecessor, Sunshine, and also one of the best game of all time. They did a great job.

I never thought Nintendo made the best games. Their games aren't bad at all. But the hype is lost on my completely.

So, Call Of Duty, Halo, Gran Turismo, Gears Of War, Grand Theft Auto and Assasins Creed dont sell ?
