Something 2 ponder i just looked at the million sellers for the wii & ps3 and ive noticed something to be pondered

PS3 has 24 million sellers

Wii only has 41

now the wii has 46+ million consoles out there while the ps3 only has 19+

another thing ive pondered is that about 12 games for the wii that have sold more than a million have the word Wii or Mario Bros. in the game title while the ps3 has a diversity of games that sold a million+

With this data i can confidently say that sometime in 2010 or 2011 at the latest the ps3 will surpass the wii in games that sold a milion+

Now i know what many are saying what about the 360 well the 360 has 63 games that sold more than a mill but it has a years head start i think that the 360 will have the most million sellers b4 the gen ends so there is nothing to really ponder about the 360

EDIT looks like alot of vgchartzers want 2 know how i came up with that conclusion i don't like giving out my secrets but i'll do it this time

i may of over exaggerated the time frame of 2010 and 2011 i just said that in case it does happen then i will look like a God i do think it will happen at some point though 

1st around the end of 07 wen i first found this site i noticed ps3 had less than 3 games that were million sellers while wii had way more  i would love to know the exact # of million sellers for that time as im just recalling wat i remember 07 was a horrible year for SW for the ps3 and 06 in a year ps3 was able to get 20 more games to hit that mark and 08 i think won't be ps3 best SW line up year

2nd yes wii does sell more sw than ps3 but how many of those sw that it sells aren't games that don't have the word Wii or Mario Bros. in the game title See around may through nov the weekly #s for wii sw show that games like wii fit wii kart ssbb were always in the top 10 or something like that  while for ps3 there was always a different game tracking on the charts the wii can continue to sell more SW than the ps3 but if its just for the games that are already in the million sellers group it won't do much as far as who will have more million sellers

3rd games like svr 08, cod, nfs ps and  undercover (will happened soon) and some others already hit a mill for the ps3 and there sequels will also hit a mill but unfortunately for the wii these franchises won't be big on it

4th 360 has a year lead on the wii but the wii has pretty close to double it's user base how come the wii has beaten it yet in million sellers? the ps3 is much like the 360 in wat it offers to a gamer and wat it ofers as far as games it's only a matter of time b4 the ps3 builds up its million sellers the way 360 has now that 3rd party support has gotten better for the ps3

5th BHR-3 doesn't make predictions like most a signal triggers off in his brain telling him that this or that will happen almost like instinct just look how accurate he was in twroo 10 week countdown especially for the wii

6th Something to Ponder at

I took away about 15k of the wii Sports b/c there were also ps3 bundled games why is there only 54.1% more SW sold compared to there being 64.3% more Wiis even if u count all the Wii Sports the SW % doesn't match the HW%  The HW  were both released in the same time also eventually the ps3 will catch up to million sellers once  PS3 HW#s go up

Something to Ponder at

I took away about 10k of Wii Sports b/c there was way more ps3 bundled games in EU why is ther only 37.1% more SW sold compared to there being 46.6% more Wiis even if u count all the Wii Sports SW % doesn't match the HW %  The HW was not released at the same time Wii had a 5-6 month head start and still can't out SW the PS3 eventually the ps3 will catch up to million sellers once  PS3 HW#s go up

I didn't add JP b/c good PS3 SW has dropped there yet like FF, SF4, and GT5 but the Tie Ratios are pretty close 4 ps3 and the wii being wii 3.66 and ps3 3.25

You also have to recall that the ps3 is still to high in price, ps3 games cost more than Wii games, and ps3 had a bad 06 & 07 SW line up bottom line the Wii can't sell SW the way ps3 and even 360 can

ummmm no the wii million seller list is gonna keep growing so the PS3 would still be in last place

I think 3rd Parties are finally noticing that decent games "may" actually sell on the Wii.

The number of million sellers on the system will increase very quickly as noted by current trends, and installed base.

There is always the possibility that the PS3 would end up with more million sellers, but the likelihood of that is diminishing with the gap between the consoles.

It is more likely that the Wii will surpass the 360 million sellers by the end of the consoles cycles if not sooner.

Wow, are you serious? Sometimes i just don't understand how people can actually seriously think these kind of things.

This makes no sense at all? You list the number of million sellers, showing that the Wii has sold more in the same period of time even after subtracting those 12. Then you say the PS3 will surpass the Wii in number of million sellers? Where is the evidence that it that there are more million sellers on the PS3 as of lately than the Wii to support your claim? Where is the evidence that will help notify us that the PS3 will not only catch but also surpass the Wii? If you make a thread about a claim at least add supporting facts rather than ones that will go against it.
