Forums - Gaming - Who Here Has Played Terranigma?!?

That is a game that Enix needs to bring back. The SNES original was freaking amazing, it was so wierd yet so cool (had the whole sky thing, one of the best rpgs i have ever played, I do not think it got a US release.

Other amazing SNES rpgs that need to make the US VC because they never got released the first time here.

  1. Bahamut Lagoon
  2. Tales Of Phantasia
  3. FF5
  4. Sectet of Mana 2 (SD3)
  5. Treasure Hunter Series

any others, I have played and beaten SoM2(my favorite Action RPG of all time) and Terranigma, got pretty far in Tales.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

Get the EU version of terranigma.

@OP I emulated it since it didn't release in the U.S, and even if it did it would be a pain finding it for a reasonable price. Anyway I played a little of the beginning, but didn't get too far. Once I have more time I will finish it. As far as I got the game was pretty good.

I want a new Bahamut Lagoon so badly, it hurts.

Was lucky to buy a Terranigma cartridge a decade ago.

Best game ever !

Played it, beat it, loved it. A great SNES RPG, almost as good as Secret of Mana in my opinion.

Of course I played Terranigma, next to Illusion of Time and Soul Blazer. Great games indeed, only topped by Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana.

yes it is my 2nd favorite rpg of all time man

Played Terranigma a few years back on an Emulator...Got very far in it, but never beat it because I couldn't figure out an area.

The issue with bringing back Terranigma is the fact that Enix published it. Quintet (the best SNES developer you've never heard of) made the game, and has since gone either bankrupt, or in seclusion.

Because of this, we may never see sequels to:
- Soulblazer (one of the best top-town RPGs ever. Very old)
- Illusion of Gaia (sequel to SB)
- Terranigma (sequel to IoG)
- Granstream Saga (sequel to Terranigma on PS1)
- Actraiser
- Actraiser 2
- Robotrek

Which is very sad, given the blisteringly high quality of Quintet titles. One of my goals, if I get rich, is to buy the rights to every Quintet title and make sequels to thhem :)

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Secret of Mana 3 is probably the best RPG ever made, right with FF3(snes) Terranigma was okay but not the best imo..
