Forums - Sales - LBP and the concept of ''legs''...

Recently, I saw a lot of surprising comments about how good were LBP legs and I though it was a good opportunity to finally define exactly what is the real definition of good legs.

Can we affirm that a bundled game like Wii Sport, Kung Fu Panda or LBP have good legs? Can we talk about good legs when a game is selling good numbers during the peak period of Christmas time? Can we speak of legs 3-4 weeks only after a game's release?

What do you think can be considered a game with good legs?

IMO a game with good legs is an unbundled game which can remain in the Top 50 after at least 13 weeks (3 months) and a game with great legs is the one remaining in the Top 50 after at least 26 weeks (6 months).

even if it sells 3 units?

I think a game with good legs would be a game like Uncharted, which started with less than stellar sales and ended up selling over 2 million copies (without being widely bundled) and is still selling very well to this day!

A game that stays around in the top 50 games WW for a few months shoud be classed as having legs....with few drop offs

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

Yes but we know that this game was bundled so... plus it's really hard to know exactly how much it was bundled. We cannot affirm that this game got good legs because of the bundles.

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

maybe i should refrase it:
a game with legs from where i see it is one who continuesly sell months after its launch, selling a considerable amount enough to ship more copies and thus continuing the cycle for the store to: ship-gruadually sell-ship
