This is the dumbest thing i've ever heard of, maybe parents should get their head out their ass and learn to be good parents. And games rated mature have no effect on gamers, i've seen 6 yearolds playing GTA,

For once we agree. The parents get lazy, don't pay attention, then throw blame around when something happens.

This is not the fault of Sony at all, the store, if anyone, should be the ones to make sure stuff like that doesn't happen.

ok...

but add this:

sony is member of isfe that is agency behind PEGI.

it's up to them to tell to retailers to put a warning for parents on demo stations.

there is a sort of responsability for sony(in this specific case..also nintendo and microsoft are members of isfe)

obviously a retailer will never put a warning for a game rated 18+ in free play...

if they put game in free play is because they wanto to sell it ...

they can simply make a notice on the station:

"some of these games are intended for mature people, check ratings of games before try"

Calm down Ninja Gaiden is a 15+ and its far from Sony's fault because they dont control this. Its partly PEGI's fault for not checking that the game WASNT being used in the demo station but mostly the stores fault so why are you blaming Sony its completly out of their control.

leader site

ninja gaiden is rated M and 18+ respectly by esbr and pegi...

get know games before speaking of them...

it's also Sony fault , infact Sony is one of members of isfe:

http://www.isfe-eu.org/

you are a TOTAL IDIOT. Do you even know how the demo kiosks work?

It has more the 1 demo on it. There all on the HDD including videos and pictures. Someone most likely selected the demo from XMB, played it, and forgot to exit the game.

Its the store's which decide which demos to download from the Retailer PS Store.

It is the same for the 360 and Wii kiosks. Its a matter of what the retailer downloaded to the consoles (or what demo discs they have in them for 360 and Wii - PS3 has no demo discs).

Close topic please mods, thank you.

TOTAL IDIOT???

is this member war??

why are you offending other users???

mods will ban you i hope...

IN TOPIC:

sony demo station NOW are one game running

first days there were gamelist on demo disc.

BUT NOW(i don't know other countries) in italy mediaworlds there is ninja gaiden in free play.

also wii station hasone game in free play.

first days was wiisports.

now is dragonball.

this proves that simply never played a demo station...

and please stop offending.

don't act like a child...

they dont  (in USA at least) run 1 game. try to hold the PS button at your demo kiosks and see if you can exit the game to the XMB.

WTF? For me free play is a way better indicator of game than any rating. If this guy have seen all gore scenes in NGS than he knows it's not for children. If he doesn't he should check it before buy. What's your problem? Every parent should check what his kid actually play... It is his/her fucking duty.

Are you some redneck granny... Go and fight against Resistance... sorry mods but I can't handle it...

 you seems to not understand.

I'll explain you another time.

A parent has right to be warned about games his child is going to play.

when a retailers puts a game in free play the game usually is in main menu or sub menu because of people playing.

so when parents see  their children  playing at a 18+ game suddenly stop them(if they want)

but if there is no warning or no invite to check ratings on games covers parents simply are not able to choose

it's also fault of sony because sony with others is membera of isfe(pegi).

so it's like if sony is hiding in free play something they rated trough these authorities.

I hope you understand now.

@ ALKO )

ah yea right Sony has to control shops are using demos ,which don't offend anyone huh?

the shops have to evalutated themselves which demos selsl their units best (the Sony guys already have their share of the money at this point) while considering the countries laws

and .. dragonball is not a game for everyone either (it's 12+) so theoratically playing that game would've been bad for the child aswell

btw.. do you know why Ninja Gaiden got M , 18+ ? because of decapitation which is possible with some certain moves ,but I can't imagine a 8/10 years old pulling them off so easily

Well maybe Ninja Gaiden Sigma is 18+ there but i am looking at my copy right now and it says 15+ and i am 14 oooo scary go on tell the government get me arrested just stop this now really its by no way Sony,MS or Nintendo's fault for not putting age ratings on the kiosk as soon as they sell/give them to the store its out of their hands and the game can change in the kiosk one week it could be Madden or any sports game and they are 3+(usually) and then the next it might be GeoW,R:FoM,CoD3 and they are all 15+ then the store should put up a sticker or sign saying this game is for 15+.How in any sense of mind is it Sony's fault i dont see how it could be.

This is the copy of the game i have if you dont believe thats its a 15+.

Yes, they have the right to be warned but also they have some duties.  If you pay some attention to your children there is no way to miss a trick.

Well then i want 18+ on Mario games instead of E ratings, he kills turtles and other small animals. It is still the parents fault if they can't watch their kids or don't know about ratings on games then their kids should be taken away. The ESRB have been around for 15+ years or something the same with other rating boards, and maybe parents should play games first before they allow their kids to play them.

Plus i want wii games banned from all countries, they are training killers with that wii-mote, and ban pokemon too they are teaching children that its fine to keep little animals in samll enclosed spaces and force them to fight.

blame on Microsoft: children can view porn with the internet explorer

- seems like a similar claim to me

This is a pretty dumb thread. The violence in Ninja Gaiden Sigma is more stylized, it doesn't even look that real minus the blood.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

in some countries there different system of ratings...

BUT TRUTH IS:

esrb rated M

PEGI rated 18+

so no "maybe"

for sure esrb and pegi rated it as a mature game

plus:

TAKEN FROM THE ACTUAL DEMO:

http://it.youtube.com/watch?v=NVIbw2_hNAU
http://it.youtube.com/watch?v=LfvqGIXvzvA
http://it.youtube.com/watch?v=kdDaYri63FI

where is rating warning???

 the solution is simple:

"please check ratings before let your child playing"
