I checked the list of Wii games to see how 3rd party games are doing. 14 games have become million sellers and nearly 50 have gone on to sell at least a half million. Some people complain there isn't enough games for hardcore taste and while still not as much as the Xbox 360, I think the Wii has a good selection of games for a system that still hasn't been out for two years yet. And there are plenty of games coming out in the next few months.

I've only listed games that have come out and done very well or have gotten mostly positive reviews that I know of. Most of the games listed can be considered "hardcore" and some are just listed because they sold so well. There might be some games where I might be mistaken and the reviews weren't that great and I might have left out some games as well.

I think there are many excellent games in that list that have done very well along with a lot of sleeper hits and quite a few other good games that slipped through the crack and didn't sell well. With all those games and those coming out soon, there is a lot to choose from in my opinion. So if you honestly think you can't find a game to play or think there aren't many good 3rd party games, you just aren't looking hard enough.

I agree that the third party support has not been that bad, but still Wii needs more support, specially for the 15-25 year gamers

It has never lacked in quantity. What it does lack in is quality. I see Namco and Marvelous fixing that problem though. Fragile, ToS, NMH2 ftw!

tuoyo, compared to other consoles, it has been pathetic (there's a discussion about it in other thread right now..) but in terms of sales, Wii third-party games haven't done TOO badly. You're right though, the quantity of quality games is pathetic on Wii.

I disagree though. Sure, it's nowhere near the level of Xbox 360 but nearly all the games I listed are good quality games. And as time goes on, we'll see more quality 3rd party games.

Game Party, Carnival Games, Sonic, Pinball, Boogie, High School Musical, Spiderman 3, Heatseeker, We Ski, Deca Sports, and a few more do not deserve to be on the list of good Wii games.

Even the PS3 has much more good games than that, even "hardcore" ones.

Third party support has been much higher but big budget titles have been rare and a lot of the quality has been substandard.

But what I'm happy about is that there are a lot of more publishers releasing games and trying out a Nintendo system for the first time so this bodes well for the future.

Some of the games you mentioned I listed because they were big sellers and I just did that to show there are quite a few examples of 3rd party games that sold very well. That would apply Game Party, Carnival Games, Sonic (although I think most reviews were positive), High School Musical, We Ski and Deca Sports.

I do want to say though that Pinball is a great game that has gotten very good reviews.
