I finished the original Destiny and it's DLC but when I tried to play Destiny 2 I couldn't get into it. But looks like it's back and Destiny 3 is a possibility somewhere down the line.

OH MY GAWWWWWWWWD!!!! Bungie you beautiful bastards, if you're able to bring the game back to its peak!

Is this because Marathon is such a bomb they are desperate and scrambling to save themselves?

I have no doubt that it is certainly playing a major part lol. It would be quicker to work on restoring all the vaulted content as a band-aid fix to work on an eventual Destiny 3 than it would be starting on a brand new project that wouldn't even release this decade.

But also, Marathon will become more than an extraction shooter.

I think this was the first time that Bungie acknowledged that Marathon was a disappointment.
