For those that weren't sure it was coming next year, or at all, the twitch CEO let this one slip.

"In a new report by Bloomberg, Twitch CEO Dan Clancy has given the following statement about GTA 6 Online releasing in 2027:

"We spent a lot of time talking with Rockstar about their plans, and also helping them think about how they can engage our creators," Clancy said in an interview. "You are going to see this big bump with GTA 6, but then an even bigger one next year when they launch multiplayer."

Will be interesting to see how they handle the transition from the current iteration of GTA Online to this one. How long will the old remain running? Will players of the current one get to transfer anything over?

Are we sure that Dan Clancy has this insider info? How do we know this isn’t just him speculating out-loud to investors?

I assume the info he has is coming from these discussions.

Oh I see lol. Yeah guess I didn't see that... well I guess it makes sense that the Twitch CEO is in talks with Rockstar. Afterall AFAIK Twitch is owned by Amazon, and Amazon recently hosted the GTA VI showcase.

Hoping it will release physically at some point next year. If it doesn't, I'll never get to play it.

If this is true, I suppose they're so desperate to get it out for Holiday 2026 that they don't care too much that GTA Online isn't ready.
