Forums - Gaming - What is your list of shame?

We all have our backlogs of games we want to get to, but since time is limited, and life has other important things, we never get to play everything we want. But sometimes I find myself looking at my backlog, or at some game magazines ”best of” lists and I see titles I am kind of embarrassed I haven’t played yet. Either because they look exactly like the kind of game I would love, or they are almost universally considered among the finest games ever, or they have incredible historical importance.

So what are those games for you? I don’t want to set specific criteria, if you want to go by metacritic, this sites annual top list or just whatever game you strongly believe you would love but haven’t gotten to, it is up to you.

I will post my own list in a bit and will try to limit myself to 10 games.

Around the Network

Sometimes I get a heavily discounted bundle on Steam and maybe only play a couple games from it. So I’ve got all those ancient D&D games that I haven’t touched, pretty much all the Star Wars games even though I was only looking at X-Wing/TIE Fighter/Dark Forces, an anthology of Tomb Raider games just for the really new ones, and I keep getting tempted to buy up the Resident Evil franchise even though my only experience with it is watching someone play Code Veronica X on the PS2.

For almost 30 years I discarded handheld gaming. I could not fathom why to pay $$ for a handheld game when for a the same or little more $$$ I could get a higher quality game on a home console.

This is the reason I never owned a Nintendo handheld, while owning all of their home consoles (except Wii U).

But damn with the Switch I was proven wrong. Not just about the joy of playing handheld, but also because thanks to NSO I started playing Gameboy and Gameboy Advance games. Plenty are really good.

In retrospective I'm a bit ashamed to have looked down on handheld gaming for so long.
