I almost missed that this game released a couple of days ago. 

Is there any love for this game on this forum?

I played the shit out of the original Truxton on Megadrive (and emulation).

I currently playing Splatoon Raiders but I’ll get this game soon for the Switch 2.

The whole widescree presentation is a bit of a turnoff. Its okay... definitely feels like a unity game (cause it is). I played the demo on the XB and I'm good at that point. I will stick to Truxton 1 & 2 on my Evercade.

I personally have no issues with the 16:9 aspect ratio. 

Haven't heard much on it, though it did very well with critics. Currently sits at 86 on OpenCritic, I believe? That places it right around where MKWorld performed, for reference.

Since it’s a shoot ’em up/bullet hell game I would not expect it to get that high on MC since the genre is niche nowadays. 

I love the original. So I am interested. May not get it at launch as I spent some cash on a 360 game.
