Anthropic made a big donation to Blender, an open source 3D modeling and animation software.

Can't believe Blender accepted money from a company that no doubt wants to infest it with AI bullshit, damaging 3D art and animation even further than it already has been.

Fuck Anthropic, fuck AI in general, it's ruining everything.

You should give more credit to the people of the BF. The Blender Foundation has converted Anthropic’s Development Fund membership into a regular donation, as stated in the link you posted, and also explained that there is no connection of API's or so. Hence, it's a donation to keep things running, as Blender always is in need of more. The inclusion of AI in free features like Blender can be scary, I know, but I'm fairly well versed in licenses, and Blender's does a phenomenal job in that department that I'm not too worried about it in general.

Nobody in their right mind wants Blender to include the technology that identifies Iranian civilians as military targets. That's why Iran has been firing on Amazon data centres. We now have Skynet. -_-
