so, i haven't been on here for awhile but, i've definitely been stalking so... watch your back.

but, anyway, most of you probably don't know me but, i USED to play a lot of games and also spam... a lot. anyway, i've recently tried to get back into gaming as a form of self-care and i want to hear your guys' recommendations for getting back into being a nerd.

somehow, i still only own a switch. in fact, i just bought an OLED version today (just for fun; ik there's new switch speculation and idc.) 

i want to hear your guys' recommendations for games. i'm quite literally open to anything. also open to buying another console bc a b*tch has money now :)

in general, just tryna gage the community and wanna have an open convo. it seems pretty dead in here compared to when i used to post non-stop (lol) so idk if this will even get responses BUT, would love to hear from you guys.

edit to give preferences: i like adventure/action/RPGs/JRPGs/platformers. open to most games and recommendations other than whatever games like fire emblem are considered bc i unfortunately do not like those.

ALSO, the games i currently have are SMO, Pokemon Violet, Mario Kart 8 DX, BotW, TotK, FF VII Crisis Core Reunion, Animal Crossing NH, and Super Mario 3D All Stars.

Wii sports

@Shatts : you're def trolling but, that's a great pre-game game. ngl.

lol. idk i just recently played it again and it's surprisingly really fun still. Although I played it on my Wii U so maybe there's a difference in graphics. The gameplay is surprisingly deep, people like to complain about the motion controls in some games, but Wii sports probs does it best. If you get a hang of how to use the controller it's the best experience in a video game ever. I just wish there was more content like story with a tournament arc. 

But it's hard to give game suggestions when we have zero knowledge about ur preferences and ur knowledge on games. Since u already have a switch, I'll just name some switch games that are single player hidden gems and promising ones coming soon

New Pokemon Snap - not really a fun "game" u just take pictures essentially but good visuals and cute moments

Pokemon BDSP - hated cuz expectations were high for a DP "remake" but it's still a fun game

Play Astral Chain.
Also Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom are the best games ever. Play those. They allow high levels of freedom and it's great messing around in them.

Just go freaking buy the Xenoblade Chronicles trilogy. It's all on one console now and it's a mesmerizing experience !

Otherwise, Kirby and the Forgotten Land was a great 3D action platformer debut for the franchise, you might give it a go.

Astral Chain is one of Platinum Games best in a long time too and entirely unique !
Could also go for the whole Bayonetta Trilogy now that's a thing on Switch 👍

Here are a few lesser-known Switch titles that might speak to you. A lot of these are also available on PC, PS, and Xbox.

• Chained Echoes (a throwback turn-based RPG with lots of modern quality-of-life concessions)
• Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights (a beautiful Metroidvania with great action and storytelling)
• Cult of the Lamb (an unlikely but exciting combination of colony simulation and rogue-like dungeon-crawling)
• Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin (another unlikely but exciting combo, this one a mix of farming sim and action-platforming)
• Spirtfarer (a cozy life sim with a very bittersweet story about ferrying the souls of the dead)
• Wargroove (a stellar turn-based strategy game with a huge amount of content -- and it's getting a sequel soon!)
