I see you haven't read the other posts. That's been sold along with the 4pro and I just picked up the X for $350 with an extra controller. It really is in pristine condition. The controllers still have the texture feel and literally not a scratch on the system. It just didn't have the box which sucks.

Sorry, I misread it (currently multi-tasking). Congrats, on the purchase. It's the best console in my opinion. People downplay the Xbox system because of its limited exclusives, but to me, Xbox exclusives like Halo, Gears, Forza Horizon, State of decay and PUBG (for now) offers a lot more replayability than any current console exclusives. Not to mention the Xbox one x is the best console to play third party games which is what most people and probably yourself play the majority of the time.

I've been an Xbox owner since the original box and went against my better judgement when I bought it. There were so many underrated gems for that thing. The 360 was a great system too with the exception of hardware failure rates.  None of that bothered me too much. It's a shame the box might never get the respect it deserves. I'm all for crossplat gaming if that's what it takes to bridge the gap. But yeah, I'm excited to finally get back into everything I missed. Now, I'm probably getting an isp. I'll send a FR.

I play everything on it. My Pro is only for Madden, Rogue Legacy, and the occasional Sony game. The upgrade in graphics is immense, but the improvements to 360 and Xbox games are great.

Most importantly you get to play the best racer in years at 60fps.

I play games without a connection all the time. Actually took my XBO on vacation in September. Played RE5 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. When I got home, my Achievements even popped up.

This one: https://youtu.be/_Ry1iCttlvA

Right but they needed to be installed with a connection before hand, correct?

Yeah. I'm full digital. BUT if you buy the disc, games actually install faster if you're offline. But then you'll   always need the disc to play (of course). I'm not a fan of disc swapping these days.

Backwards compatible games need an online connection because they actually download from the web

Idk how to bold text highlight but about the offline installation, I'm pretty sure that's not how it works with disc. Every game I tried to install froze after like 2% and wouldn't continue until I used a connection.

Yay! Hope you enjoy the console.

Congratz on the purchase. In my case, I only have time for one console so I chose ps4 since it has more and better games IMO.

I know game quality is subjective, but at this point it's not even an opinion that PS4 has more and better games, it's just a fact. By literally every metric, the PS4 has better games, more games, and more exclusives. If we're looking at sales, PS4 exclusives sell a lot more than Xbox exclusives this gen. When it comes to multiplatform games, PS4 sells, on average, 2.2x the amount of copies as the Xbox One does (though oftentimes even more of a disparity). When it comes to volume of exclusives in terms of variety, it is, again, about a 2:1 or 3:1 ratio depending on if we're counting indies.

and while, yes, the Xbox One X has a marginally better performance on multiplatform games compared to the PS4 Pro, by this point in gaming there's no significant difference.

I'd only recommend an Xbox One X if you already have a gaming phone, a Nintendo Switch, and a PS4 already. And even then I think it'd be more valuable and cost effective to just get a PC since all Xbox One exclusives are also on PC now.

I mean, I come across as a hater (which I used to be but outgrew the better part of a decade ago), but I have an Xbox One with more than a dozen games on it, but I never use the system. My roommate does - which makes me happy to see that the thing gets use, but when you have a PS4 and an Xbox One - both launch consoles - there's literally no reason to play the Xbox beyond the exclusives, which are few and far between.

And my time with the Switch has reaffirmed that, as far as I'm concerned, graphical fidelity and performance specs mean next to nothing. My favorite games of the last few years have been simple but fun. Stuff like Mario Odyssey and Dark Souls Remastered and Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze and Octopath Traveler and Breath of the Wild, all games that could be played on the Wii (Except Dark Souls, doubt that could work on Wii.) And you know what's my most played game so far this year? The Mega Man X Legacy Collection. SNES games with a PS1 game on it.

Bah, I'm rambling.

No idea why you'd get an Xbox One X, though. To the OP, I mean.

My Console Library:

PS5, Switch, XSX

PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1, WiiU, Wii, GCN, N64 SNES, XBO, 360

3DS, DS, GBA, Vita, PSP, Android

Cool. Enjoy!

Because most games that come out and the highest scoring games are usually multiplatform which plays best on xbox. Also, Nintendo and Sony exclusives suck when it comes to multiplayer imo.
