Unfortunately, it seems like nobody cares enough about the franchise to bother re-releasing them. It's a shame because I love those games.

What? The control scheme is essentially the same as the first-two games.
i never played them, but i remember the games. but i understand you, it's like i'm always waiting for a remaster or remake of xenogears😉
Because the original team is separated and torn apart. I’m not even sure who has the rights to it anymore.

Well, the original team doesn't have to develop the re-masters, or make a new game really. But as to who owns it, I think it's still Crytek.

Possibly, but they did sell the studio that made the games to Deep Silver, just dunno if any IP (other than Homefront) went with it. |
I don't know if they sold the IP to them.

Neither do I. I sure hope they did though since Crytek just left it unused for the entire time they had it! I'd love to see it change hands again since if it did the new owners might actually decide to get some use out of it. |
I know the new Homefront has a TS2 easter egg.

Ah yeah, I remember that. I remember thinking maybe it was a prelude to a full HD remaster announcement. But nope, nothing more came of it |
Well, Homefront bombing probably didn't help.
