Just consoles, correct? I haven't played WoW in a bajillion years, but that was sizable.

Does anyone know where the Far Cry and Fallout games fall on the scale?

Oh and I think WoW is 80 which is still smaller.

Ehhh, debatable since Just Cause 3 has plenty of destructibility around. In any case, OP questions if Xenoblade Chronicles X has the biggest handmade world this gen, and that has go to Just Cause 3 instead.

He should edit it to biggest RPG. Zelda BotW still counts as the first time since Zelda II is the game a RPG essentially.Tho it's still smaller than XCX by 40 Square Kilometers

Yeah. All games this gen? Just Cause 3 is the biggest. Just RPGs? Then Xenoblade, sure.

The thing is, it doesn't matter how big a game world is if it isn't filled with anything... I'd rather have a smaller map with lots to do than a big wasteland of a map... I know Xenoblade Chronicles X has a lovely map in terms of aesthetics and such, but is it actually filled with anything other than just monsters and collectibles? Are there people wandering around all over it with side quests, or hidden areas, or minigame areas and stuff? I'm only asking because the original was pretty barren, and I've not played X yet so I can't really give a statement on it.

No to mini games but yes to everything else. The online part of it also feels a little PSO2. I have 800 hours in this game and yet to find an end to sidequests. I am still trying to get my Ares 90 to beat super bosses I beat the game last year but still finding quests.

Definitely smaller. Also, worse. Not a bad game, but XCX makes almost everything better.

Who cares about size? I wonder which game will be able to challenge Sm4sh in amount of songs and audio content. That's where we should focus.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Nothing wrong with a smaller map as long as it's interesting.

Is it really? I thought 15 was bigger than all of the open world games out there.

Not even close tbh I've completed XV, it's big but not as big as some other games out.
