As long as the thing is on par with the PS4 I'm fine with it. It's not like third parties are going to be pushing it to its limits, and Nintendo tends not to make super demanding games.

Lol nice play with words "NeoGAF verfied user" it is a Neogaf thread about a reddit thread where a person "verified" first said NX had DDR5 ram when he didn't know DDR5 didn't exist yet (not even a spec yet).

The person you quoted is not a verified user on Neogaf and frankly knows nothing.
Nice try.

As if a FX black edition $160 cpu could ever be put inside a game console.
125 watt TDP (PS4 TDP is 90 watts and that includes both CPU & GPU)
Not an APU
No GPU
would actually be slower than PS4 APU since CPUs no longer matter in a APU dominated world.

If this guy has a record, I believe him. I expected NX to be weaker than XBO, so this is good news. Anyone who thought this thing needed to be a generation ahead of the other two was out of their minds.

XB1 CPU >= PS4 CPU
on account of being the same CPU
XB1's is just overclocked

If Nintendo is bringing something weaker or even par to the market and this is supposed to be a traditional console ... that is embarrassing. The Wii U was the power of the PS3 & XB360.

The NX will be the power of the PS4 & XB1.

 

They are just a gen behinde in terms of performance.... its their thing.

It wont matter until the Playstation 5 & Xbox Two launch.

Completely wrong!

The Wii U came out 6 years later and had:

  • a slower cpu
  • slower ram
  • only a 50% more powerful GPU
NX will come out 3-4 years later and barring a complete shift in the way Nintendo operates not be that much different.
