Forums - Gaming Discussion - My Newest Pre-Order: Stranger of Sword City (PSVita)

I'm a sucker for turn based RPGs, and from my stnadpoint the more old school the better.  Lately, I've come across VITA RPG titles such as Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy, Demon Gaze and the Danganronpa series even though Danganronpa really isn't an RPG.  So from there, this soon to be released re-release caught my eye called Stranger of Sword City published by NISAmerica.  Check it out below:

I had recently been on a spending spree so it was hard for me to justify this purchase.  I can always wait until a pricedrop some time after its release, but look at those pre-order goodies.  I missed out on the AR Nosurge Plus: Ode to an Unborn star Limited Edition.  So when I received an email from NISAmerica saying that only less than 10% were in stock, I had to jump on it, just had to.  At the time of this post, there are only a few left.  here is the link for the Limited Edition VITA version:

Stranger of Sword City is being released for the Xbox One on March 22nd, 2016 (digital only) while the VITA version will be released on April 26, 2016 (US) and April 29, 2016 (EU).

EDIT: And please ignore the ads.  A bottle of Mazola does NOT come included with the pre-order.

Would have been a definite purchase for me had it not been a first person game. I simply know I won't enjoy it.

Then fact that you can't see you character in battle, makes it feel kind of... cheap.

:/

Anyway, hope you enjoy it.

Great purchase!

I do see where you are coming from, and I do prefer seeing the characters in action.  But I've always like the battle format of Dragon Warrior, and Stranger of Sword City is very similar to it.  At least you have the charcter avatars shown while in battle.

nice purchase
