Evening again, witches and ghouls. It is I, your wonderful lord Cloudman, here to bring you back again to my humble abode again, my...

And I'm here to talk about the wonders of horror again. It's amazing how you can find and make horror from almost anything, from a set of keys, to a car, to even... a cute, family friendly games. I'm talking about Animal Crossing today, specifically. Now, some of you may be wondering, Great Lord Cloudman, how can you find horror in such a cute kiddie game like that? Have you gone mad, my lord? Is Cloudman just spouting nonsense like he usually does...? Yes, it is hard to believe that anything scary can be found in a game, like Animal Crossing... Well, with the player in control of designing their town however they see fit, and the abundance of items availble to purchase, with a little creativity and imagination, you can cook up something quite spooky, something that leaves you nervous and creeped out.

How can something so cute be made so creepy...?
...And it's possible the birth of creepy towns stemmed from the one and only... Aika Village. This is quite possible the first creepy town that was made in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. It was first posted on December 12, 2012, on 2chan, and then brought to attention on the 18th and 21st, where 2 youtubers posted videos touring the town. It quickly got attention and urged more people to make their own creepy villages. It became so well known, that the creator was interviewed on the topic of his town, Aika Village, citing he was inspired from another town, Niconicori Village, made by Shigesato Itoi. You know, the creator of the Mother series. That's what I've heard at least... ; )
...So, what is this Aika Village all about? Well, I don't really want to dive into it. That would take the fun away from it if I explained it. Any people who own a copy of Animal Crossing: New Leaf, why not check it out for yourself? You will definitely see the game in a new light if you check it out, at least I think you will. Let's just say, you'll get to learn about Aika as you explore the town. Unfortunately, it has been updated, so it's not entirely the same experience I had when I first tried it a year or 2 ago, but it is still quite a trip. So yeah, I hope you check it out, and enjoy it, Animal Crossing fans... ; )

Do you dare enter...?

Actually, quite a numbers are available now, and perhaps we have Aika Village for that. So yeah, thanks Aika, and the creator, for starting the Animal Crossing creepy craze... ; )
