Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Would you buy a Nintendo Amiibo Party game at the NX launch?

Which Amiibo will you use most?

Link 4 33.33%

Ganondorf 0 0%

Tingle 1 8.33%

Any Gerudo Amiibo 0 0%

Other inferior amiibo 7 58.33%

Total:12

Let's use some imagination in this thread.

In our new world, Nintendo puts a lot more effort in their games rather than...games like Amiibo Crossing Mario Party Dull Edition.

In this speculation, Nintendo releases at the NX launch the "free-to-play" installed game Nintendo Amiibo Party. Basically, a Mario Party with real minigames but differents boards themed according to the Nintendo franchises: Super Mario, Metroid, Star Fox, Zelda, Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem, Splatoon, etc.

You can use any of your amiibos. Any. You can play as Shulk or Fox, or Retro Mario or Yarn Yoshi. The gameplay is a classic Mario Party game (1-3) and mini-games are put according to the franchises.

For example, in the Super Mario board, a certain minigame is to stomp goombas. In the Metroid board to shoot Metroids.

Play online or offline. Your choice.

Would that be a good idea, being "free" included on the NX, and making some amiibos bundles?

Will this game give a neat use to amiibos?

What other topics should we talk about the NX?

Taking into account the speed in which they are releasing amiibos, this would mean a LOT of work, specially for a launch game.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

i went digital only because i'm tired of having to store games in my house, my view is the boxes are just trash waiting to be thrown. it takes up a ton of space and looks and i hate it. amiibo are even worse because it is really ugly trash.

you all can like it if you want and that's okay but i will never buy a piece of crappy plastic in order to play a game. i imagine there are a lot of people like me so i think amiibo required games will do poorly for a nintendo game.

Is a good idea to release something like this for free, since looks way more interesting than Amiibo Crossing, people has already a lot of Amiibos and it would push the console sales at launch. It would be also cool if they gave you something with the NX that allows you to buy one amiibo that you want (or the amiibo you can find in the stores that you want) for free too, so you can play the game even if you don´t have amiibos.

True. For this to really work it would have to be free. Imagine the amount of Amiibos they could sell.

I don't think is that hard. They made a rushed mode in MP10 with amiibos, maybe a couple of years into development would have been enough. I'm pretty sure many would have liked to play.

Yes, but they had a lot of the material done already, and the game doesn't push the hardware at all. A Nintendo Amiiverse would be big enough to absorb (almost) all Amiibos made. Also, there's price: Disney Infinity is one of the most expensive games to date, I assume a Nintendo Amiiverse would take just as many resources.

I stated it would be free and installed already on the NX.

They can do amiibo bundles. Or NX bundles with a couple of amiibos.

Well they need to invest in order to sell. One of the problems this gen is Nintendo being cheap. They have money and they need to avoid another disaster gen.

Or use cards. The point is to be free, mostly to amiibo fanbase and the newcomers to be easy to play. It would be a good evolution to the Mario Party series and maybe then I'll buy a Link amiibo.
